How much demand would there be for a cash in the mail service located in the Netherlands?
You would send me cash in the mail and receive Bitcoins as soon as i receive
the cash.
This would mean Bitcoins in 1 day for the Dutch.
And Bitcoins in 3-4 days for Europeans.
I would charge about 5%.
Please let me know especially if your Dutch :)
thanks

No only sell.

Don't think it is worth the costs and risk for a buyer. Via SEPA you can have your money within one day at an exchange and have access to your BTC within a couple of hours. Lower costs, no risk...

Sketchy as Sketch.
Make sure you buy that SR vendor account before to start this adventure destined to leave hopeless romantics in it's wake.

What exactly is SEPA and how can I make use of it? I am looking for a safe way to buy bitcoins in the Netherlands.

sepa = sinlgle european payment area
this basically means you can make a wire transfer to any eu country as quickly and cheaply as a domestic one.
I've used bitstamp to purchase bitcoins this way from holland, they have a bank account located in slovakia. If you wire the money today using online banking, it will be on your bitstamp balance tomorrow (working days). They also convert the euro's to dollars though, and probably not at the best exchange rate possible. Also, there is a 0.5% transaction fee when buying the actual bitcoins for you dollars, so you would probably lose 1-2% in total.
This means there bascially is no market to convert legally owned money by sending cash in the mail. Money that is to be kept out of the eye of the tax services is another matter though: If someone gets paid in cash and doesnt report income to the tax agency, converting that cash at a 5% fee could be worth taking the risk of sending in in the mail if you are reputable.

Well said Nomad, I paid a lot of money for my seller account and think it's only fair the OP should do the same!
While I'm here I might as well take advantage of this opportunity to explain I do offer a cash in the mail service to people in Europe, you can see a link to my thread explaining how the service works at the bottom of this message. Any questions please feel free to get in touch.
Thanks,
V.
